In 1985.

What was your driving inspiration for starting your own brand?

We wanted to create bags as design objects with new volume notions.

What were you doing before the days of Jack Gomme?

What are the key beliefs & philosophies behind the brand?

To create a warm, fresh and fashionable product.

What are the main cultural influences from your home country, that come through in your designs?

The French touch … from Paris to “le Bretagne“ to “la Provence“.

How would you describe the Jack Gomme customer, that you have in mind when creating your collections?

The Jack Gomme customer is from the city, open minded and very aware of the surrounding world.

How many people are there behind the scenes at Jack Gomme?

Around 10 people.

When did you open your store in Paris?

In 1998.

What’s your favorite feature of that store?

All the stores are designed by Paul Droulers, and have a concept of white space, with cardboard boxes, red floors and metal lamps.

A small “cabanon“ in the countryside.

For visitors to Paris where would you recommend they stay, eat, drink & play…and why?
